Our Firm

Pro Bono & Public Service

From its earliest days Segal McCambridge has been dedicated to bettering the communities in which we live. Throughout the firm, we believe that our lawyers’ obligation to the community is broader than just the legal work we do and that our attorneys have a professional responsibility to contribute their time, skill and resources to provide legal services to those who do not have access to attorneys or otherwise cannot afford legal representation.

2020 - 2021 PRO BONO REPORT

From correcting injustices to collecting coats during the winter, a generous spirit echoes in the halls of each of our offices across the country. Our 2020-2021 Pro Bono Report contains just a small sampling of the positive change our attorneys, staff, clients and friends have made in the lives of others over the past year.

Segal McCambridge's efforts are driven by our Pro Bono & Public Service Committee (PBPSC), which embarks on a mission to encourage, support, facilitate and recognize our attorneys in their endeavors to serve their communities through pro bono legal work.

PBPSC provides training and practice support, information about pro bono opportunities and other relevant information and resources to encourage our attorneys to provide pro bono services to those less fortunate. The group endeavors to foster longstanding relationships with pro bono and public service agencies in the communities surrounding each office to benefit the public, the firm and the organization.

To ensure no meaningful project is overlooked, PBPSC also encourages attorneys to contribute time to community service projects that might not fit the definition of legal pro bono work, but are nonetheless important to our society.

PBPSC is composed of members from several of our offices, including the following:
