Alec F. Cerqueira is an associate attorney in the firm’s Chicago office, focusing his practice in toxic tort litigation, employment litigation and sports, recreation & entertainment. Mr. Cerqueira has extensive experience in research, drafting pleadings and briefs and conducting fact investigations.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Mr. Cerqueira worked as a legal extern for the National Labor Relations Board. He also served as a student attorney for Greater Boston Legal Services, a legal extern for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and as a law clerk for Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Mr. Cerqueira earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where he acquired his litigation certificate, sat on the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic Student Advisory Board and graduated with distinction for his Pro Bono service. He holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in political science and one in international studies from American International College.
Mr. Cerqueira was on the men's soccer team at American International College and is originally from Boston.
