Ashley Nwonuma is an associate attorney in the firm’s Austin office. Focusing her practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance coverage, Ms. Nwonuma has extensive experience in negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, motions, discovery, mediations and depositions.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Nwonuma worked as assistant general counsel for the Texas Water Development Board. She also served as an attorney for the Public Utility Commission of Texas, where she gained first and second chair experience in all stages of litigation.
She earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, won several Best Brief Awards and was a finalist in several regional and national moot court competitions. Ms. Nwonuma was also a staff editor of the Texas International Law Journal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history, philosophy and religious studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
