Charles Slamowitz is an associate attorney in the firm’s New York office. His client-centered practice areas include sports, recreation & entertainment, appellate and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Slamowitz is an experienced litigator with a proven track record of prevailing in high-stakes trials, as both the first and second chair.

Mr. Slamowitz has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including oral arguments, court conferences, arbitration and mediation, as well as drafting pleadings, briefs and dispositive motions. He is also a published author, with legal scholarships published in the Washington and Lee Law Review Online and The Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Mr. Slamowitz worked as an associate at a civil litigation firm in New York City, where he consistently obtained favorable outcomes for his clients. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Justice Shlomo S. Hagler of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and clerked for the Honorable Justice Martin Shulman of the Supreme Court, Appellate Term, First Department.

Mr. Slamowitz earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he was on the Dean's List, received a Merit Scholarship for academic distinction, and was awarded the prominent accolade of Top Oral Advocate at the Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques. He holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in political science and media studies from Queens College, City University of New York.

Mr. Slamowitz is actively involved as an advisor and angel investor for startup companies, regularly competes and has won numerous public speaking competitions in Toastmasters International, and serves on the New York City Bar Association’s public service committee.

Outside of his work in the legal arena, Mr. Slamowitz enjoys spending time with his friends and family, writing, snowboarding, and chess.
