Christina (Tina) Gutierrez is an associate attorney in the firm’s Austin office. Her practice is focused on litigation in the representation of insurance carriers defending first-party bad faith lawsuits areas such as complex commercial litigation or toxic tort. Ms. Gutierrez has extensive experience in drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions and drafting and managing discovery.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Gutierrez worked as an associate at a labor law litigation firm. She also served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Kenneth M. Hoyt of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas and as an extern for the Texas Innocence Network.
Ms. Gutierrez earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where she was a board operations editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, president of the Hispanic Law Students Association and finalist of the Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot. She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism from the University of Southern California.
Outside of her work in the legal arena, Ms. Gutierrez is interested in spending time outdoors, listening to podcasts, consuming news and chasing her cat, Arya.
