
Cindy Medina-Cervantes is an associate attorney in the firm’s Chicago office. Focusing her practice in toxic tort, Ms. Medina-Cervantes has extensive experience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, conducting and defending depositions and preparing expert witnesses for trial.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Medina-Cervantes worked as an associate at a litigation defense firm where she represented physicians, nurses, professional corporations and hospitals. She also served as a clerk for the Honorable Ronald F. Bartkowicz in the Cook County Circuit Court Law Division.
Ms. Medina-Cervantes earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she was the president of the Latino/a Law Student Association, member of the DePaul Appellate Moot Court Society, writer for the DePaul Journal of Healthcare law, recipient of the Diversity Scholarship Foundation and a CALI Award recipient for her Research & Communication I and Research & Communication III courses. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University.
Ms. Medina-Cervantes currently serves as a member of the Moot Court Alumni Board, where she coaches and advises law students preparing for moot court competitions. She also serves as a board member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois.
Outside of her work in the legal arena, Ms. Medina-Cervantes is interested in cooking, hiking and traveling.
