James Coleman is an associate attorney focusing his practice on products liability, premises liability and toxic tort litigation. He has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, including preparation of initial pleadings, drafting responses to document production, taking and defending depositions, performing legal research, and analyzing medical records and expert reports. Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, he worked as an associate attorney at a litigation firm in Philadelphia. Mr. Coleman has also worked at eDiscovery consulting firms in San Francisco and New York. He served as a law clerk for the Delaware Department of Justice in the Drug and Social Vices Abatement Division while in law school.
Mr. Coleman earned his J.D. from Widener University School of Law, where he was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and a first-year mentor and student ambassador. He served as a judge for the State High School Mock Trial Competition in 2009 and 2010. Mr. Coleman also holds a bachelor's degree in history from Dickinson College. While at Dickinson, he was captain of the varsity soccer team. He also earned All Centennial Conference and All Academic Centennial Conference Honors in 2004 and 2005.
Mr. Coleman is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
