Jessica Gutierrez is an associate attorney in the firm’s Chicago office. Focusing her practice in toxic tort litigation, Ms. Gutierrez has extensive experience in legal research, drafting complaints and motions and preparing for court.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Gutierrez worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Ronald F. Bartkowicz in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. She also worked as an associate attorney at a real estate law firm in Chicago where she frequently represented clients on contested matters.
While in law school, she served as a judicial extern for both the Honorable James P. Flannery, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Law Division, Circuit Court of Cook County and the Honorable John P. Kirby, formerly in the Law Division, Circuit Court of Cook County.
Ms. Gutierrez earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she earned the CALI Award for Excellence in her First Amendment Freedom of Speech course. She holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, cum laude, from DePaul University.
Ms. Gutierrez is a member of the Chicago Bar Association. Outside of her work in the legal arena, Ms. Gutierrez enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling abroad, listening to music, and playing with her dog “Frenchy.”
