Johali Muzaliwa is an associate attorney in Segal McCambridge's Houston office focusing her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She has extensive motion practice and has experience taking and defending depositions and second chairing trials. She is a certified arbitrator and has resolved cases through arbitration and mediation. Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, she worked as an associate attorney focusing her practice on alternative dispute resolution as well as business litigation, labor and employment, and corporate compliance.
Ms. Muzaliwa received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center where she served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and was Chair of the Southwest Region of the National Black Law Students Association. She previously attended Boise State University where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Economics and Latin.
As an active member of her community, Ms. Muzaliwa currently serves on the board of the Houston Lawyers Association and the African American Lawyers section of the Texas State Bar. In her spare time, she enjoys running and reading classic literature.
