Karla Huertas is an associate attorney focusing her practice on civil litigation defense with an emphasis in insurance defense and bad faith litigation. Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Huertas worked as an associate attorney at a civil litigation firm in Austin where she drafted appellate briefs in complex legal issues related to real estate and contract disputes.
Ms. Huertas earned her J.D. at the University of Miami, where she participated in the International Law Study Abroad Program. This program gave her the opportunity to study law in Italy, Turkey and Greece. Ms. Huertas also served as secretary of the Hispanic American Law Students Association in law school. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida International University, where she was a member of the Honors College and the National Honor Society of Psychology.
