Ms. Murphy works on a broad range of product liability, toxic tort and general commercial litigation matters from inception to trial. As National Coordinating Counsel for various equipment manufacturers, Ms. Murphy manages their national asbestos litigation where she provides risk analysis, develops and implements strategy, prepares corporate witnesses for depositions, coordinates discovery and trains local counsel. Ms. Murphy also serves as local counsel for a variety of product manufacturers and distributors handling cases throughout New York State. Her pro bono activities include her participation in the Homeless Experience Legal Protection (H.E.L.P) program.
Previously, Ms. Murphy was part of a pharmaceutical product liability defense team in Stamford, CT and has worked on major insurance litigation in New York, NY. While practicing in New Zealand, Ms. Murphy worked as a tax and legal services consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Ms. Murphy received both her Bachelor of Commerce and Administration in Public Policy and her Bachelor of Laws (Legum Baccalaureus) from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. She is a member of the New York Bar and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor to the High Court of New Zealand.
