Lauren Saad is an associate attorney focusing her practice on real estate and commercial litigation, insurance defense, professional negligence, and transportation and trucking matters. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, including writing legal reports, drafting complaints and motions, legal research, and preparing settlement agreements. Prior to working at Segal McCambridge, Ms. Saad worked as an associate attorney and law clerk at a large law firm in Michigan. She has also worked as a research assistant at Wayne State University and as a judicial intern for the Hon. Muriel D. Hughes, Wayne County Circuit Court.
Ms. Saad earned both a B.A. in English and a J.D. from Wayne State University, where she was the recipient of various academic honors and scholarships. During her time as an undergraduate, she was a member of national honors fraternity Phi Beta Kappa, a tutor for the Detroit Fellows Tutoring Project, and a Student Ambassador for the Wayne State Student Ambassadors Program. While in law school, Ms. Saad served as a Senior Note and Comment Editor for The Wayne Law Review, where her student note earned publication, and she competed for several of the school’s various moot court teams, briefing and presenting appellate arguments at national competitions such as the Wagner Labor & Employment Law Competition and the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Ms. Saad also earned a Dean’s Scholar full tuition academic scholarship, as well as the Walter Nussbaum Endowed Award for excellence in Professional Responsibility.
