Leah Yair is an associate attorney in the Detroit office focusing her practice on general and civil litigation including transportation and employment matters. Ms. Yair has extensive experience in the analyzation of contracts, emails, and other key documents to identify privileged, confidential, or non-relevant information for discovery and fact-development purposes. She also has experience in reviewing employee handbooks and applications to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and analyzing civil rights allegations in employment law disputes.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Yair worked as an e-discovery review attorney in Michigan. She also served as a law clerk for the 7th Circuit Court to the Honorable Archie L. Hayman where she honed her litigation skills through reviewing motions to draft memoranda and orders and assisting in jury trials.
Ms. Yair earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law magna cum laude, where she was Dean’s List for five semesters as well as the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation Dickinson Wright Women’s Network Scholar Award winner. Ms. Yair holds bachelor’s degrees in social relations and policy and comparative cultures and politics from Michigan State University.
