Leslie Federer is an associate attorney focusing her practice on toxic tort litigation. She handles all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, responding to various types of written discovery requests, and conducting legal research on substantive issues to develop and implement defense strategies for national and local clients. Ms. Federer has been with Segal McCambridge since 2009, previously working as a paralegal and law clerk. Prior to joining Segal, she was a sales account executive at a third-party transportation and logistics company in Skokie, IL, where she managed and supervised national accounts.
Ms. Federer earned her J.D. from Capital University Law School in Columbus, OH, and spent one year as a visiting student at Chicago-Kent College of Law before graduating in May 2016. While in law school, Ms. Federer participated as a mentor in Capital University’s ‘Peer Advisor’ Program, helping new evening program law students become acclimated with the rigorous first year schedule while balancing full-time employment. Before receiving her J.D., Ms. Federer received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and a minor in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
Having grown up in Ohio, Ms. Federer is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Big Ten Football and Cleveland sports teams.
