Mackenzy Dorval is an associate attorney in the firm’s Philadelphia office focusing his practice on asbestos litigation. He joined Segal McCambridge with prior litigation experience, including work on asbestos-related claims. In his work as an associate attorney in a Philadelphia litigation firm, Mr. Dorval routinely prepared dispositive motions, attended depositions, managed medical expert discovery and prepared other discovery-related materials in such matters. His past work also includes work as a judicial intern for the Honorable Glynnis Hill, Judge of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, Court of Common Pleas.
Mr. Dorval attended Villanova University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2013. While in law school, he was a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Black Law Students Association and the Student Bar Association. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Temple University in Philadelphia where he was a member of the Haitian Student Organization and the International Business Association.
As an active member in his community, Mr. Dorval has served as a presenter and keynote speaker for State Representative candidates at community conferences covering topics related to education and tax issues. He is also the founder of Our Lasts Forever, a charitable organization that has raised money to provide school supplies and life aid to lesser-privileged individuals in Haiti and Ethiopia. Mr. Dorval is also a volunteer for Education4Tomorrow.
