Ms. Adams is an associate attorney focusing her practice on construction and labor law and products liability, representing corporations and construction companies in complex litigation matters. Ms. Adams has extensive experience in all stages of litigation in federal and state courts, including second chair trial experience.
Most recently, Ms. Adams second chaired the trial to verdict in Albericci v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in Supreme Court, Bronx County, which involved a construction worker who fell 35 feet from the spire on 1 World Trade Center, suffering extensive bodily injuries. Ms. Adams has also successfully argued appeals in the First Department and has secured many important successes and settlements for clients. Most notably, in the First Department, Ms. Adams affirmed a dismissal in the Cortes v. Skanska (Index No: 107042/2010) and reversed an award of summary judgment in Medrano v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (Index No: 153442/2014).
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Adams represented numerous insurance companies and prominent New York City commercial and residential real estate owners in matters involving personal injury, premises liability, construction accident and construction defect cases. She has substantial court room experience arguing dispositive and discovery motions, conducting settlement conferences and other mandatory conferences. She has managed dozens of cases from inception through final resolution.
Ms. Adams earned her J.D. from New York Law School, where she was a National Lawyers’ Guild Volunteer, was selected for inclusion to the Dean’s List and was awarded a certificate for Public Service for numerous hours of pro bono work. She served as a court representative in the Volunteer Lawyer for the Day, where she represented pro se litigants through a supervised program in New York and Kings Counties. She also served as a judicial extern for the late Honorable Arthur M. Schack, Kings County Supreme Court. Ms. Adams holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Clark University.
Outside of her work in the legal arena, Ms. Adams in interested in volleyball, hiking, running and reading.
