Michael Testa received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University, and his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School. He is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
Mr. Testa is an associate attorney focusing his practice on product liability, toxic tort, hazardous substances and complex commercial litigation. He serves as local counsel for various equipment and product manufacturers in the New York asbestos litigation. In that capacity, Mr. Testa has experience in all stages of litigation defense, including developing defense strategy, drafting and arguing motions, conducting and defending depositions, negotiating settlements, participating in arbitrations and mediations, and preparing for and appearing at trial. Mr. Testa has also drafted numerous appellate briefs and argued an appeal before New York’s Appellate Division, Second Department.
Mr. Testa has extensive experience representing of attorneys, accountants, business professionals and real estate professionals. He has also handled cases pertaining to contract and employment disputes, intentional torts and personal injuries. Mr. Testa is currently a member of Segal McCambridge’s Professional Liability Practice Group.
An avid sports fan and athlete, Mr. Testa was the captain of Columbia University’s Varsity Men’s Soccer Team and now enjoys golfing. Mr. Testa also plays an active role in Cycle for Survival, an organization committed to raising funds for rare cancer research.
