Nicholas Aukerman is an associate attorney in the firm’s Detroit office. Focusing his practice on insurance defense and general litigation, Mr. Aukerman has extensive experience conducting legal research, writing memorandum and writing case summaries.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Mr. Aukerman worked as a law clerk intern for the Honorable Darlene O'Brien in Michigan's 22nd Circuit Court. He also served as an intern for Congressman Tim Walberg of the U.S. Representatives and as a law clerk intern for the Honorable Kurtis Wilder of the Michigan Supreme Court as well as for the Honorable Julia Owdziej of the Michigan 22nd Circuit Court.
Mr. Aukerman earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a research assistant for multiple professors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Calvin University.
Outside of his work in the legal arena, Mr. Aukerman enjoys running, attending art museums and playing with his chocolate lab, Teddy.
