Russell Baker is an associate attorney focusing his practice on toxic tort and complex commercial litigation. He is experienced in all stages of litigation, including depositions, drafting pleadings, motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions to apply foreign law, and memoranda in support of those pleadings. Prior to joining Segal McCambrige, he worked as an associate attorney defending Fortune 500 companies for a litigation firm in Edwardsville, IL.
Mr. Baker earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, where he received the Vincent G. Immel Scholarship, was a member of the Student Legal Writers Association and served as an SLU Law Student Mentor. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in English literature from Knox College, where he earned Dean's List honors and played varsity basketball. Mr. Baker is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri. He is also certified to conduct mediation in Missouri.
Outside of the legal field, Mr. Baker is involved in several charitable activities. He is an Eagle Scout and co-chair of the social committee for the Red Shoe Society, an organization that raises funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities. He also enjoys playing basketball, searching for good places to eat barbecue and spending time with his dog, Hendrix.
