Sarah Gale-Barbantini is an associate attorney in the firm's Detroit office concentrating her practice on complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and premises liability. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, including general motion practice, arguing dispositive motions, and conducting all levels of discovery from preparing and answering interrogatories, to depositions and large-scale e-discovery. She also has experience working as both outside counsel, and as a claims professional within an insurance company.
Most recently, Ms. Gale-Barbantini worked for an insurance company as a Claims Technical Consultant specializing in personal injury protection benefits, bodily injury claims, auto property damage claims, and homeowner liability claims. In this position, she worked with outside counsel to develop defense strategies while managing and monitoring outside litigation counsel’s performance. She has also consulted and advised claims departments regarding high value/complex claims, insurance coverage, rescission issues, and claims special investigations.
Ms. Gale-Barbantini earned her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School where she served as the Assistant Editor for the Wayne Law Review and was an active Moot Court Team Member. Before attending law school, she received her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kalamazoo College.
Outside of work, Ms. Gale-Barbantini is actively involved in the legal community. As a member of the Detroit Bar Association, she currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Barrister’s Board of Directors, Barristers Representative to the No-Fault Section of the Detroit Bar Association, Barristers Representative to Third Circuit Court Law Day Committee, and Co-chair of the School Partnership Program Committee.
