Sky Brown is an associate attorney in the firm's Houston office focusing his practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. He has extensive background as a researcher, as well as, experience conducting interviews, pretrial, discovery, mediation and trial. In addition to his roll at Segal McCambridge, Mr. Brown currently serves as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Mr. Brown worked at a leading global financial services firm, where as a Senior Compliance Officer he maintained firm policies and system documents pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act. Mr. Brown primarily focused on issues of Anti-Money Laundering, Client Screening, Transaction Monitoring, and Anti-Terrorist Financing. Mr. Brown has additional experience in both probate and family law.
Mr. Brown earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2011. While there, he served as the President of the Public Interest Law Society, Student Body Representative of the Student Bar Association, and participated in the ABA Arbitration Regional Tournament as a regional semi-finalist. Before attending law school, Mr. Brown received a Master of Public Service and Administration from George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University, College Station.
Outside of work, Mr. Brown enjoys spending time with his wife and children visiting Houston’s museums and zoo district, as well as visiting Galveston beach. Additionally, as a member of his community, Mr. Brown serves on the Board of Directors for the ARC of Greater Houston.
