Uri Carni is an associate attorney focusing his practice in complex commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, discovery and settlement. Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, he worked as an associate attorney at a litigation firm in New York, NY. He also previously served as a judicial intern in the New York State Supreme Court. 

Mr. Carni earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. At Fordham, he served as an editor of the Fordham Journal of Corporate & Financial Law, which published his article on the SEC’s regulation of crowdfunding campaigns. He also worked at Fordham’s Intellectual Property & Information Law Clinic, served as a member of the Disaster Relief Network and the Board of Student Advisors, and received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award.

Before law school, Mr. Carni earned his B.A. in Philosophy, summa cum laude, from Rutgers University. At Rutgers, he served as a founding editor of the Rutgers Undergraduate Philosophy Journal, earned Highest Honors in Philosophy, and was named a Paul Robeson Scholar. Mr. Carni also holds a Conservatory Certificate in Jazz Theory from The Collective School of Music in New York, NY.

Outside of his work in the legal arena, Mr. Carni previously owned and operated a video production company and an academic tutoring company. He is interested in music, literature, film, art, travel, squash and cycling. He is also a proficient musician, playing guitar, bass and drums. Mr. Carni is fluent in Hebrew.
