Bessie Fakhri is an associate attorney in Segal McCambridge’s Chicago office where she dedicates her practice to toxic tort and civil litigation. Ms. Fakhri has experience in both litigation and transactional matters. Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Ms. Fakhri worked as an associate attorney concentrating her practice on medical malpractice, personal injury, and commercial litigation. In this position, she served as second-chair on a jury trial and regularly attended case-management conferences and hearings.
Ms. Fakhri is experienced in many aspects of litigation, including the preparation of pleadings, motions and briefs, performing research, and conducting various aspects of discovery. She has additional experience conducting client interviews, and composing memoranda concerning a breadth of legal issues.
Ms. Fakhri received her Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law where she served as a managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and was a MTP Maurer Fellowship recipient. She was also a recipient of CALI Awards in Securities Regulation, Constitutional Law II, and Seminar in Constitutional Law. Before law school, Ms. Fakhri attended Ohio University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, summa cum laude,and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Fakhri is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
