Summer Associates

Summer associates at Segal McCambridge receive a comprehensive real-world education on the responsibilities and experiences of associate attorneys. In addition to traditional social events, our program focuses on exposing summer associates to a wide spectrum of litigation practices which includes:

  • Attending hearings, depositions, mediations and arbitrations
  • Investigating and researching critical information for current cases
  • Assisting with drafting pleadings, written discovery, pretrial motions, and discovery motions.

As part of their immersion into the daily activities of our firm, members of our summer program can expect daily interaction with attorneys of all experience levels, from first year associates to the firm's most experienced trial attorneys. Along the way, dedicated mentors will guide the summer associates through their time at the firm.

The goal of our summer program is to provide more than a sense of the culture at Segal McCambridge. Summer associates walk away with valuable practical experience and a deep understanding of what they can expect after graduating from law school, passing the bar, and becoming an associate. The knowledge and confidence summer associates obtain at Segal McCambridge gives them a unique advantage as they embark on their careers as practicing attorneys.
