Segal McCambridge Shareholder Christian Gannon To Speak at ACI's Mass Tort Conference in September

Segal McCambridge shareholder Christian Gannon has been asked to speak at "Managing and Resolving Mass Tort Products Liability Claims," a program to be presented by the American Conference Institute in New York, NY, on September 29-30, 2010.

Mr. Gannon will play a dual role at the conference. On September 30, he will participate in a panel titled, "A Focus on Expert Testimony: Special Nuances in the Selection of Experts, Strategically Preparing & Defending Daubert Challenges, and Debunking Junk Science." The panel will discuss laying the groundwork for aDaubert motion and being prepared to deal with a Daubert challenge to an expert's testimony, among other topics. Later in the day, after the conclusion of the formal conference agenda, Mr. Gannon will help present a Post-Conference Master Class, to be called, "Procedural Tactics for Managing and Defending Against Mass Tort Products Liability Claims." He and two other experienced presenters will discuss, among other subjects, how to meticulously prepare for managing resolution proceedings in "bet-the-company" actions, and how to formulate a document and e-discovery plan that defends against overly aggressive requests and ensures compliance.

Mr. Gannon serves the firm as Managing Shareholder of its New York office and as head of its General Litigation Practice Group.
