Shareholder Chad Layton Featured as a Speaker at the American Bar Association’s 27th Annual Insurance Coverage Litigation Midyear Conference

Shareholder Chad Layton recently spoke at the American Bar Association's 27th Annual Insurance Coverage Litigation Midyear Conference on February 23, 2019 in Phoenix, AZ. 

Chad spoke on a panel titled, "Cyber & Network Interruption vs. Business Interruption Coverage Overlaps and Gaps," that discussed and evaluated common coverage overlaps and gaps created by the business interruption coverage provided under both property and cyber policies. Chad, who is a Co-Chair of the firm’s Technology and Cyber Risk Practice Group, discussed best practices and strategies concerning cyber resilience and cyber-risk management for corporations and other organizations.

The conference featured a wide variety of insurance topics and panels covering the impact of the #MeToo movement on EPL coverage for sexual harassment and similar claims, emerging insurance risks/products in the sharing/gig economy, mass shootings and insurance coverage, insurance coverage issues relating to the opioid crisis, and cyber/network interruption vs. business interruption coverage overlaps and gaps.
