Chicago Shareholder Paul E. Wojcicki to Present Daubert Webinar

Segal McCambridge Chicago Shareholder Paul Wojcicki will present "The Daubert Standards: Identifying Effective Strategies in Defending Daubert Motions" during a webinar on August 31, 2017, from noon to 1:00 (EST). This webinar, sponsored by The Knowledge Group, is geared for litigation and trial attorneys and legal counsel.

Mr. Wojcicki will present on the oft-encountered situation where the result of a case hinges on a deposition of the expert in that case and will accordingly stress the important considerations that should be adhered to in taking the deposition. He will provide an overview of Daubert standards and will lead a discussion on the considerations, including scope and content, that need to be made prior to bringing a Daubert motion. Mr. Wojcicki will offer key insight on the manner in which to defend a Daubert motion, including a focus on the importance of prior rulings involving expert witnesses and how to minimize the chance of the motion backfiring.  Also being addressed will be the use of ipse dixit testimony in the expert witness realm.
