On August 2, 2011, Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd. will host the first meeting of the Chicago Public Schools' newly appointed Industry Advisory Council for its Law Academy. A team of Chicago-area lawyers, judges and law school professors will work closely with school administrators to monitor and improve the CPS Law & Public Safety curriculum to better prepare its students for college and future careers in law and public safety. This effort is administered by the Department of College and Career Preparation of the CPS. Gregory McMahon, a shareholder in Segal McCambridge's Chicago office, spearheads the firm's involvement with the Law Academy's Industry Advisory Council and will be a participant in the August meeting.
