Donald Segal Named a “Distinguished Counselor” by Illinois State Bar Association

In acknowledgement and gratitude for 50 years of service and contributions to the legal profession, the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) recently honored Segal McCambridge founder Donald Segal with the title "Distinguished Counselor." Fewer than 160 attorneys in Illinois received this distinction this year. Distinguished Counselors are recognized for "setting an inspiring  example of devotion and fidelity to the duties and obligations of an attorney and counselor at law" and demonstrating "those commendable personal qualities that characterize those who best exemplify the high ideal of the profession."

Mr. Segal was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1963. He founded Segal McCambridge in Chicago in 1986 with attorneys Edward McCambridge, William Mahoney, and Jeffrey Singer. Mr. Segal's extensive trial experience includes cutting edge product liability and medical malpractice litigation. Throughout his career, Mr. Segal has been active in both the legal profession and community. Mr. Segal was an early leader of the American Brain Tumor Association and a founder of the Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States. He is also a longtime member of the ISBA, Chicago Bar Association, Chicago Council of Lawyers, and Decalogue Society of Lawyers.
