Segal McCambridge Client Wins Six-Day Arbitration of Commercial Dispute

September 13, 2011

An arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association recently entered an award in favor of our client, a software development company, dismissing all of the plaintiff's claims and finding in favor of our client's counterclaim. Our client had been sued for breach of contract, common law fraud, consumer fraud, as well as punitive damages. We asserted a counterclaim for amounts owed to our client for software development work, which the plaintiff had refused to pay.

The arbitration, which took place in Chicago, concluded August 11, 2011. Chad Layton defended the software development company at arbitration, and was supported by Natacha von Will.
