Segal McCambridge shareholder Timothy Krippner will serve as co-chair of "Cutting-Edge Issues in Asbestos Litigation," to be presented by Perrin Conferences on February 25-26, 2010, in Beverly Hills, CA, at the Beverly Wilshire.
Three other shareholders Christian Gannon, William Mahoney and Yasmin Mancini will participate in the conference.
Mr. Gannon will take part in a panel on the 25th titled, "Litigation Tourism - Where are the New & Emerging Venues?" He will address developments in New York.
Later that day, Mr. Mahoney will moderate a panel titled, "Managing Relationships in 2010 Asbestos Litigation." Topics will include best practices for working with counter-parties, symbiosis in the insurer/policyholder relationship, docket management, and billing and allocating costs.
Ms. Mancini will moderate the program to be presented at the Friday morning "Women in Business" breakfast.
The conference will address a wide range of other topics, including the impact of Medicare reporting rules on asbestos cases, evolving case law in heavy equipment cases, and the impact of automotive industry bankruptcies on asbestos litigation, among others. The program will close on the afternoon of the 26th with a judicial roundtable on "Ethics and Responsibility in 2010 Asbestos Litigation."
There will be a golf outing the afternoon before the conference and a cocktail reception at the Beverly Wilshire hosted by Segal McCambridge after the golf outing. The registration fee is $1100 and includes private website access to course materials, continental breakfast, lunches, refreshment breaks and networking receptions. Those who register before December 20 will receive a $200 discount.
