Segal McCambridge Receives Cheryl P. Jacobs Chancellor's Award for Philadelphia Pro Bono Work

Segal McCambridge is one of the law firms honored with Philadelphia VIP's 2010 Cheryl P. Jacobs Chancellor's Award, which goes to law firms with at least 10% of the attorneys in their Philadelphia office participating in pro bono work. This follows on the heels of the firm's having been awarded Philadelphia VIP's Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. Award in 2009.

The award was announced at Philadelphia VIP's annual awards ceremony which was held at Ceremonial Courtroom in Philadelphia's City Hall on March 10, 2010. The pro bono organization, "promotes equal justice for the poor by providing civil legal services not otherwise available, collaborating with other legal services organizations and promoting a culture of volunteerism by educating and exposing attorneys and law students to issues of poverty," according to its mission statement.
