O'Malley and Bugos Obtain Directed Verdict in Medical Malpractice Trial

Firm Shareholders Bob O’Malley and Kevin Bugos recently obtained a Directed Verdict for two Resident physicians in a Cook County medical malpractice trial.  The case, Strzelczyk v. Wolin, et al. involved an orthopedic shoulder surgery, during which it was alleged that plaintiff suffered the transection of a nerve. Following the close of plaintiff’s case, the Court granted our Motion for Directed Verdict on behalf of both of the Firm’s clients who were Resident physicians at the time of the surgery, leading to the dismissal of the case against them.
