DRI’s The Voice Features Attorneys Catherine Goldhaber and Bob O’Malley

Segal McCambridge shareholders Catherine E. Goldhaber and Robert E. O’Malley are featured in the most current issue of DRI’s e-newsletter, The Voice. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the organization, DRI selected Ms. Goldhaber for its Leader Spotlight.   Concurrently, the And the Defense Wins section features Mr. O’Malley’s recent trial victory in Malen v. MTD Products. The Voice is distributed weekly to DRI’s membership, comprising 22,000 defense attorney and in-house counsel.

Ms. Goldhaber is a seasoned litigator who defends claims of injury from use of a product, injury from exposure to a toxic substance and injury from transportation-related incidents. She counsels numerous clients in medicare secondary payer issues, particularly as the issues arise throughout discovery and in case resolution. DRI recently appointed Ms. Goldhaber to its MSP Task Force, which provides attorneys with updates and resources to understand the laws that affect claims and litigation involving claimants who may be medicare beneficiaries. Additionally, Ms. Goldhaber is a program co-vice chair for the organization’s Asbestos Medicine Seminar in New Orleans. She is also an active member of the following DRI committees: Women in the Law; Toxic Torts and Environmental Law; and Trucking Law; and frequently speaks on Medicare Secondary Payer issues and asbestos matters.

Mr. O’Malley was featured in And The Defense Wins with Richard Coyne of Wegman, Hessler & Vanderburg in Cleveland for his work representing MTD Products, Inc. in a personal injury case, Malen v. MTD Products.  Mr. O'Malley has 25 years of experience representing companies in products liability and medical malpractice matters. He represents numerous manufacturers as local counsel for claims involving construction equipment; home improvement power tools; and consumer goods such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, cars, water craft, motorcycles, and print presses. Mr. O’Malley is a member of the Products Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), a highly selective organization for attorneys with successful trial practices.
