Segal McCambridge Chicago Shareholder and Pro Bono Committee Chair Catherine E. Goldhaber has joined the General Board of the Chicago Legal Clinic. Ms. Goldhaber has long been impressed with the work Chicago Legal Clinic has performed within Chicago and is excited to be involved at a leadership level within the group.
The Chicago Legal Clinic served more than 38,750 clients last fiscal year, providing free or low-cost legal services to individuals who cannot afford a private attorney. Services provided ranged from immigration assistance to domestic violence cases to landlord-tenant disputes. The Clinic was started in 1981, and has since helped hundreds of thousands of people receive legal aid when they most need it.
Catherine Goldhaber defends claims of injury from use of a product, injury from exposure to a toxic substance and injury from transportation-related incidents. She counsels numerous clients in Medicare Secondary Payer issues, particularly as the issues arise throughout discovery and in case resolution.
