On July 1, 2013, all truck drivers and trucking companies must be in compliance with the new Hours of Service (HOS) rule, 49 C.F.R. Part 395. The latest compliance date represents over a decade of rulemaking, litigation, and negotiation concerning the maximum amount of hours that long-haul truck drivers can work and drive.
