Segal McCambridge announced today the addition of the full roster of attorneys at Ft. Lauderdale-based McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya, expanding the firm’s national footprint with its first office in Florida.

“This combination is the latest step in our strategy of growing and diversifying our platform and adding talented lawyers to provide deeper resources and more comprehensive services to our clients across the country,” said Mark Crane, Segal McCambridge Managing Shareholder. “Florida has long been a market where we felt we could deepen our service offerings, and we are thrilled to welcome the excellent lawyers of McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya to help us meet that goal.”

All 10 McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya attorneys, including seven shareholders and three associates, join Segal McCambridge. The combination is effective immediately.

“Our decision to join forces with Segal McCambridge made sense on a number of levels,” said Jim Sawran, McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya Managing Shareholder. “Beyond the ability to plug into the firm’s national platform, we were struck by the synergies of our two firms, including both boasting more than three decades of service to insurance clients, our stable of highly talented trial attorneys and our dedication to pro bono and community service.”

McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya has serviced insurance defense and other institutional clients since 1989, defending medical malpractice, professional liability, health care, product liability, aviation, admiralty, complex insurance coverage/bad faith and first party claims from its Ft.
