Segal McCambridge Welcomes Robin L. Burgess to its Houston Office

Segal McCambridge is pleased to welcome Robin L. Burgess to the firm. She joins the firm in an of counsel position in its Houston office.

"Robin has a strong background in various avenues of law, giving her a unique perspective when she is defending her clients," stated Houston office Managing Shareholder Mark Willingham.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Robin was an Administrative Law Judge at the Texas Department of Insurance where she was the decision maker in more than 1,100 contested case hearings on indemnity disputes and appeals of independent review organization determinations.

"Segal McCambridge has a tremendous reputation in litigation defense, and I am looking forward to tapping into its national platform," said Robin.

Earlier in her career she served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, as well as at a plaintiffs’ firm representing Social Security Disability benefits cases.

Robin earned her J.D. from The CUNY School of Law. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from The City University of New York.

She currently serves as immediate past president of the Houston Lawyers Association, fellow of the Texas State Bar and secretary of the Diversity in the Profession Committee for the State Bar of Texas. In 2019, during her term as President of the Houston Lawyers Association, she also established two awards recognizing trailblazing attorneys, as well as those with exceptional leadership.
