Segal McCambridge Supports Seven Local Businesses in Howell, Michigan During COVID-19

Segal McCambridge has partnered with Howell Main Street Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Lake Trust Credit Union to create the Small Business Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program, assisting seven Michigan businesses in paying their rent during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The firm's involvement was instigated by Detroit Shareholder Eric Conn, who has previously served as DDA president and currently serves as an adviser to the organization.

"Creating an incredible community is all about great people being in great places, and this is where Howell excels,” said Eric, “Segal McCambridge values the importance of community, it was an easy decision to support one as strong as its own."

Eligibility for the grant was based on demonstration of need and a solid longevity plan. The seven recipients will receive up to $2,000 each in assistance.

“There are wonderful people in this community who hold dear the important things in life, including family, kindness and historical preservation," said Eric. “Add those people to a vibrant downtown, and you have the recipe for great community.”
