Our attorneys have successfully handled appeals at all state and federal levels, up to and including various state supreme courts and the United States Supreme Court. We are experienced at analyzing the trial record and crafting effective appellate arguments to preserve a favorable result or overturn an unfavorable one in cases involving a wide range of issues. For example, one of our attorneys successfully argued Jaffee v. Redmond before the United States Supreme Court, a case in which the Court established a psychotherapist-patient privilege in the federal courts. Increasingly, our clients bring in our appellate practitioners at the trial stage to see that actions are taken at trial to protect the record and lay the groundwork for success at the appellate level.
