Ms. Milla concentrates her practice in products liability, transportation, premises liability, and commercial litigation. She has experience representing corporations as well as small businesses in both state and federal court and works closely with corporate representatives and experts on a regular basis. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and Michigan.
- Successfully barred testimony and opinions of expert architect under Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, on behalf of property owner in federal premises liability case alleging serious injuries.
- Successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of one of the nation's leading paint manufacturers in wrongful death case alleging that plaintiff developed leukemia as a result of benzene exposure in defendant's products.
- Successfully obtained dismissal on behalf of medical device manufacturer in product liability action alleging serious injuries as a result of product design and manufacturing defects.
- Regularly defend private landowners in premises liability actions involving multiple injuries through depositions of party witnesses and treating physicians, and by working closely with corporate representatives and expert witnesses.
