Print PDFMr. Bugos has an extensive range of experience in the defense of personal injury claims, where he has represented clients in cases involving serious and catastrophic injury in the areas of medical malpractice, professional liability, products liability, premises liability, construction accidents and trucking accidents. He is experienced in actions involving medical negligence (both physician and institutional) and products liability concerning pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Mr. Bugos has also represented some of the country’s largest restaurant, hotel, food store, commercial property and gaming companies in both the defense of personal injury claims and commercial litigation cases. Over the course of his career in private practice, Mr. Bugos has been the primary attorney responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, pleadings, fact and expert discovery, trial and appeal. Mr. Bugos has worked closely with insurers, third-party administrators, and general counsels to achieve cost-effective and success-oriented results for his clients.
Mr. Bugos also has significant trial experience, as he served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the criminal division of the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office from 1997 through 2001 where he successfully prosecuted serious felony and misdemeanor cases. As a prosecutor, he tried hundreds of bench trials and over 50 jury trials to verdict. In 2001, Mr. Bugos received a special commendation from the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office for outstanding service to the Office of the State’s Attorney and the citizens of DuPage County.
