Print PDFMr. Cantieri has focused his legal career in defending complex personal injury matters in products, construction, pharmaceutical, premises and automobile cases. During his career, Mr. Cantieri has first chaired and successfully defended clients in multiple personal injury related cases in Illinois involving premises and automobile related claims. He has also second chaired trial in other jurisdictions such as Massachusetts and New York. Mr. Cantieri has also been successful arbitrating and mediating cases for various types of clients.
Mr. Cantieri currently defends numerous clients as local counsel for asbestos related claims in the state of Illinois. He also serves as national coordinating counsel for clients and oversees the daily case activity for his assigned state jurisdictions. As a part of these duties, he has extensive experience litigating matters through trial and has acquired vast knowledge of the medical issues inherent to civil litigation.
SIGNIFICANT RECENT ENGAGEMENTS
- Appointed local trial counsel in state of Illinois for numerous companies, including Fortune 500 Companies, in asbestos litigation.
- First chaired and successfully defended a commercial trucking company at trial in which the insured driver struck the rear of vehicle on a highway resulting in damages. Jury returned a verdict of not guilty against the trucking company and driver.
- Represented not-for-profit client in pro bono matter involving incorporation of entity, registering with state and federal authorities and obtaining licenses for company activities.
- First chaired and successfully defended a property damage claim in which plaintiff sought monetary damages against premises owner for damages incurred to the plaintiff’s automobile on the premises owners’ property.
- Obtained favorable decisions in arbitrations in personal injury and property damages cases for clients involved in premises and automobile related claims.
