Toxic Tort / Hazardous Substances - Mercury

Mercury, a toxic metal, is classified as a hazardous pollutant under the 2000 Clean Air Act.  Plaintiffs allege that exposure to mercury can cause brain damage, autism and learning disabilities in children.  Pregnant women are also potential claimants. Federal and state E.P.A. regulations are making mercury poisoning a top priority.  Civil cases filed by private plaintiffs are directed at a wide variety of defendants and products ranging from vaccine manufacturers to utility gas meters.

Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney has been retained to represent defendants in mercury litigation and has developed the necessary expertise to defend these cases on liability and medical grounds.  In cases with potentially compelling emotional appeal, we make the complex simple.
