Segal McCambridge Helps Guide Philadelphia Bar Association's Pro Bono Week
A series of clinics sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association will help prepare attorneys to handle pro bono cases and provide counseling to low income seniors. The program, given in concert with National Pro Bono Week, will be presented in various Philadelphia locations. Encompassing, in fact, a bit more than a week, the first event was presented October 18, 2010, with the last to run on October 28.
Pro bono training will be available to lawyers interested in handling cases involving child abuse, the homeless, families in danger, and persons involved with the immigration authorities. CLE credits are available for many of the programs.
Segal McCambridge attorneys Ryan Gatto and Justin Moriconi helped plan the event in their capacities as members of the Executive Committee Board, Young Lawyers' Division, of the Philadelphia Bar Association. So far in calendar 2010, attorneys from Segal McCambridge's Philadelphia office have logged more than 125 hours of pro bono work.
